As i've been driving around today i've seen some snowdrops and a couple of crocuses ..... these are in peoples gardens though, not out on open verges where the temps are more generalised. came in halfway through thread again It still made perfect sense

Yes - lovely. I'm hoping to see green on the hawthorn hedges soon and blackthorn flowers, too - they won't be long now, I think.

I've always loved that poem, Steve, especially when it's pronounced 'boid' and 'absoid'. I've got no idea who wrote it, though.
