I spotted one of my Hellebores with flowers on it this afternoon! What's it doing, flowering in August? I just wondered if anyone else has plants behaving oddly in their gardens.

I do find it worrying, I admit. Do plants know more than we do?

It's so cold I think the plants might think it's spring again. It reminded me of March yesterday. I am just enjoying the second flush.

You've got the right attitude - I've heard it too often recently that we'll get another cold winter - and I know we both hate s**w.

And me, as you know. It's worrying that leaves are falling already, though, and my Parthenocissus is changing colour!

Mine is still green for now. I saw several trees turning colour today. They were all horse chestnuts, but in different places - strange it was only those
