Did you see the Hydrangeas, grindle? I could not resist a purple one! I bought an unnamed Helenium, a Coreopsis, a pretty small flowered Streptocarpus and an Anemone 'Ruffled Swan'. Oh, and an embroidered cushion for our daughter's birthday. I popped up to Wyevale and got a green pot for my hydrangea, plus some annuals to perk up my containers.

yes I did Geranium but I have to admit they're not my favourite plant, only the paniculatas

Edelweiss and a Campanula polywotsit which was the wrong one I meant to get so I've stuck it down the base of our backyard wall where it can thrive or dive.

I can't get over how peculiar-looking Edelweiss are. I saw some at a garden centre for the first time recently. I'd seen photos before, but to me, 'Edelweiss' sounds so much more elegant than it is! Although I admit they're very cool/interesting.
I am waiting for a collection of Colchicum bulbs to turn up, that I got from eBay. I saw them doing well in other gardens nearby whilst house-searching last time, so i'm being a copy-cat.

Had a look in the GC sales today. Got a 'Churchill' rose which made the car smell delicious! Also a Dalina Tampico dahlia at half price, still got plenty of flower in it.
I'd like to be able to find some small-ish shrubs with variegated foliage to go in our rather exposed (full sun, windy, clay) sloping border along the driveway, but all the pretty Salix, Hebes etc always say 'not suitable for exposed site' 'need some winter protection' etc, alas!

Got 4 Cyclamen hederifolium at Morrissons yesterday and stuck them in the rockery Well, better there than the kitchen sink. All red shades.
