steve my hedgehog got squished on the road so I don't think they would have liked me to say that, first half of the day we were drowning in rain, hence all the mud, but it was good fun

I haven't watched G.World yet but I'm looking forward to watching you grindle on iplayer. Anyone who hasn't got iplayer/Sky box/Freeview record/Virgin cable/box or whatever can watch the repeats on BBC 2 , there's one at 5.30pm tonight (Sat. 30.09.17) & I think it's the same episode which is repeated tomorrow (Sun) morning at 7.00am. (Sorry Cherry although I think you may be able to get iplayer now in Australia but you have to subscribe & pay monthly & only get access to certain archive programmes or do a complicated 'fiddle' as grindle says where you have to download something to put a U.K. IP address on your device & log in with your U.K. BBC account which they make you set up now to watch iplayer over here)

I watched it last night, you were great grindle, very confident & you seemed to have a good rapport with Frances - as steve said - lots of giggling! Some of the pruning did look a bit drastic, I loved your reaction to the one where you both looked at it & went 'it looks a lot better??' & giggled.

thanks SueA I was prewarned about the pruning, they did ask my permission before anything was cut, didn't stop there either, 2 past their best fucshias and 2 small sickly trees came down, there's more to do as well, if it ever stops raining down here

Well, tghe car was meant to come back on Saturday...but the breakdown chap who took it to the bodyshop for us couldn't do because his truck brokedown. Personally I think he got another better paying job, not that I'm cynical you understand

Over the garden fence I used to see this (photo taken just after we moved here 3 years ago) Then 18 months later this February this year I now see this:

no green space is forever these days, fortunately I'm in an AONB so it's much harder to build, but we are slowly being nibbled away on the outskirts of the village
