Which new seeds have caught your eye now that the growing season is fast approaching?
One I will try is winter squash Uchiki Kuri. I have never heard of it, but I love winter squash. I never know what to call these as they are all pumpkins in Australia, except marrow.

I've bought a packet of a 'new' F1 tumbler type cherry tomato called 'Terenzo' which I'm going to try in half baskets near the back door. They were on offer from T&M for 99p. Just checked the packet & they're called 'Torenzo' on there.

Oh a lovely seed topic, thank you Cherry ;D
my brother raved about the tomato Balconi red we both grew from seed last year, he said the flavour was excellent. ( my hubby looked after my toms, they were all mixed together for eating so I've no idea which variety I was eating. ) I`v no seed left and they are expensive though . I have seen Balcony red which are cheaper but I don`t know if these are the same variety.
Didiscus is a lovely flower which hasn't been widely available from seed over the past few years. I grew it several years ago from free magazine seeds. It looks a bit like scabious and does extremely well as a cut flower. I see Mr. Fothergills have then this year 150 seeds for £3.99 a bit expensive but "moreveg" have 50 seeds for 50 p, might give that a go and see if I can save the seed for next year.

I've not had much luck growing these cherry , I get them to planting out stage, but never got one to the pot so to speak. Any tips ? I have a few seed left , if no luck this year I `ll give up.

I am pleased to get your feedback Ladybird and I have just changed my mind. I will study the seed list again. Thankyou for that information.
Don't buy Didiscus Ladybird. I have a Mr Fothergills £20 voucher to use up so I will get these and share the packet with you. I have never heard of these either. Same for you Rosie if you are talking about Didiscus.

You can't have it all Grindle and you probably have too many seeds anyway.

I must go through my seed packets before I start drooling over new catalogues - I especially like the 'Plants of Distinction' catalogue. If I haven't got any Antirrhinums, I shall get some. I do like some to 'fill gaps'. Also lime green Nicotiana - that does the trick, too. I know I haven't got any seeds - so I might possibly be looking after all! ;D

I am going to be very tough on myself this year and question every thing that catches my eye "do I really need this " as I have a plumber to get and a house to paint . Maybe there will be some green nicotaina in the seed swop , put a request in so that if there is others will leave it for you .
