The so called mid temp is not happening it's only 18c with a cold wind. I planted all the Petunias I recently purchased plus, two punnets of the multi coloured Lobelia. I am running one of the sprinkles and just discovered it's not working correctly. Another job tomorrow morning.

I do like petunias keith, especially the blue ones because they are beautifully scented.

This is a very unusual job. It looks like a small branch fell onto one of my adjustable sprinkler heads and busted it. With all the trees it has never happened before. It's all good now.
I also did a little hand watering around the Dahlias.

spent another morning in the greenhouse, got the rest of the staging up and moved the shelves so it 'flows' better, I have leaks everywhere in the roof as the corrugated plastic is starting to break up as its so old, I have new twinwall to replace it with but it will need to be much better weather before I can attempt it

We went for a walk up the local moss in the afternoon & the only thing I did in the garden was to plant out the two pots of snowdrops in the back garden.

Today was very easy. Turned each of the sprinkler systems on for 15 minutes plus a little hand watering where the sprinklers miss the garden.

Its stinking hot today only 29c and expecting 37c that also means a very hot sleepless night. I cleaned up all the dead leaves on the driveway them spread them over the garden. Next job a good hand watering.Looks like plenty of rain for the next 4-5 days the garden will enjoy every minute of it. Edit its 4.15pm and the temp is only 39 and stupid people are down the beach in the sun Keith

Washed out a dozen 5" pots ready to plant some shallots in, 1 per pot which gives you the right size for pickling later on.

After all the stinking hot days with high humidity this morning a fine misty rain. I fed the Dahlias and Tomatoes with a 50/50 mix of Blood and Bone and Tomato food. I gave them a light soil turnover then hosed it in. With the tomatoes it cut out all the dead looking leaves plus a few others to open up the plants so we can pick them a lot easier. I decided to give the snails a good feed as well.
The temp has dropped to 17c now with the fine rail plus a cold southerly wind.

now we've finally had a dry day I started to try and clear the mess that is my garden, I'm starting at the top and will slowly work my way down, this is this morning's effort Before after It was difficult getting all the sawdust out of the gravel where a trunk of the bay tree was cut down, so I'll have to redo it later
