good grief.... My vegetable bed...not as tidy as yours tho Scrumpy...the netting's mainly to keep the birds and cats off me vegetables. The whole thing's just been moved as we're having a change around in the garden atm.

It looks very professional. I first saw this done by Geoff Hamilton. Missed his version but seen others on the net. The best bits are the dowells and the foldback clips...no need to use pegs to secure the netting in the soil. Heres the full 30 foot length A bit of advice need here Scrumpy ( and Cherry peabrain ) I`m about to purchase some MDPE pipe , probably black if I can get it, What width 20mm 0r 25mm would be best do you think ?

There's going to be a lot of very frustrated birds, bugs and rabbits on your lottie Scrumpy. It's very practical and neat too. How do you get the ends tidy without folds? That net stuff is great better than fleece. I think the clever bit is the use of Bull-dog clips but how do you stop them rusting?

I went to my local car boot specifically to buy some cheap but as is always the case, the day you want it there is none, sods law. If there's a scrap-yard near you, you could buy some second-hand metal rod (quite cheap) and cover it with old hosepipe.

great idea that but just as an alternative old tent poles, the flexible type might not be as sturdy on a large plot but would think on a small bed would be ideal.

I'm going to show your photos scrumpy and cheerypeabrain to dear hubby. Might have to use metal frames though because of the goats I've got squash, spuds onions and garlic right now in about 4 beds and all of them are looking worse every day. A kid nibbling here and there and birds digging up seeds and pecking seedlings.
