Its the first garden friends I have seen this year. not seen one with ten petals before. How many petals should it have Tel? The second flower to come out has 9 I have had them with 9 But the majority had 8 uploadimage

I really like that 'Princess Leyla' alstromeria - whoever posted it first! I like the short stemmed ones much better as I garden all in pots, they are great on the patio Shall have to see what the GC have got this year.

This Spider Lily is kind of cool. Not something I'd've bought myself, my husband brought me the bulbs back after a trip to Birmingham, but it makes a change to grow.

Really? I don't think they're hard to grow, I just shoved them in a deep pot of multi-purpose compost and left them in my cold frame until the frosts were over. I suppose my patio is a relative hot-spot, which might help. I can't find the 'proper' name tag either!

Also known as Ismene calathina, AKA Peruvian Daffodil. I have a few potted up which are nowhere near flowering.
