I just got mine! I think I have separated them out properly and it looks like I have around 15 each of dog rose, rowan and alder but only about 3 holly? Not entirely sure.. The rowan were difficult to find as they are a lot smaller and were hidden in the compost.

You seem to have got a lot more than I did ziggy but I could have missed some in the dust although I did rub it between my fingers, luckily I have put it in a pot so maybe some more will come up. I think they must have been out in the cold or maybe only just collected from the trees as a lot are germinating already?

I was thinking they must have been SueA because I think I had to have my other rowan seeds in the fridge for 4 weeks or so... I am excited to see progress photos from everyone! I wish I had found more holly seeds in mine but I may have missed some and put them in with others. Who knows what will pop up? Lol.

Update on mine. What I thought were dog rose and alder are coming up nicely. The one holly that I thought was a germinated holly has not appeared yet. I'm currently a bit disappointed about this as I want some more holly and I have just bought some seeds which I discovered need a total of 64 weeks pre-treatment! Argh! That is worse than yew! My rowan have also not appeared but I didn't think I had that many of them at all. I have lots of rowan from my previous growing so I will know them straight away if they appear. I'll post photos in a bit if I can get tapatalk to start working again on my phone.

No sign of anything on mine yet ziggy, I'm worried that they may have drowned in all the rain we've had as they've been outside by the garage, where have you kept yours?

I have mine inside SueA in what I call the "seed department" ie - the utility room... I didn't think to put them outside because I've been growing a lot of seeds indoors all through the winter and just automatically put the new ones in there too. It's been really cold here outside lately so I wanted to protect any delicate little ones. I know they should all be hardy enough to cope out there - maybe I am being too precious, but it's working for me at the moment so I reckon if it aint broke... lol.

I think you made the right choice ziggy, I didn't have any room to put them anywhere indoors & as the instructions with them said you could grow on a windowsill etc. or put them outside on a doorstep I thought I'd chance outdoors because as you say that's where they'd be in nature. Never mind, there might be a few of mine still alive in the pots somewhere!

Aw no! But I suppose the fact that they have none left is good news because it means lots of people are growing tree seedlings across the country.
