If anyone has received a personal message from someone called Robert please just ignore it, it's spam & he has now been banned & deleted so we won't all be getting a share of the 11 million + dollars he was offering!

Possibly Latvia @willow as his email address ends lv, there seem to be lots of Eastern European/Russian hackers & spammers around nowadays, no idea why he picked on us & not heard of them pm-ing everyone on forums like this before, seems a bit pointless as members would mention it to each other. Pity, we could buy a pretty big garden with that money! Be aware everyone that there are a lot of scams going around at the moment particularly phone calls, I have blocks on International/Withheld/Phonebox numbers on our phone so they don't get through at all & number display so I can choose whether to answer a call by checking the number but they have ways of getting round this now & showing a fake number so that it may look genuine. The last couple of weeks I've had calls saying they're from Microsoft (they would never phone anyone unless you have contacted them & they are ringing you back) & HMRC when they obviously aren't & I block their numbers. Apparently some of the HMRC ones say you owe money & ask you to pay the fine/tax in itunes vouchers - and some people actually do!
I had my eye on a nice house in Cheshire too Roofy! I'm amazed anyone falls for those sort of scams roofgardener as they're such totally outrageous amounts, if they made them sound more plausible they might catch more people out. I once saw an exhibition in a gallery where someone had replied to some of these scam emails & scammed them back by asking them to send photos of themselves dressed certain ways, holding various items etc. to prove they were real & carried out long correspondences with them, it was quite funny reading the exchanges & looking at the photos.
I got one this morning that can catch people out, From Nat West saying my account had been locked, I don't have a Nat West account so it was obvious and I deleted it but if they catch someone who does have an account with the bank they say they are from and they then open the email not being too computer savvy, I expect it goes to a page saying click here to reset your password enter your account number etc....then they have access to your account
Had similar ones every day this week. All saying my non-existent bank accounts have been frozen or hacked or need updating. HMRC one is regular too as is the one offering me huge amounts of money from Diplomatic unclaimed luggage. If you get one from Ebay then you forward it to [email protected] From Amazon you forward it to [email protected] and Paypal it is [email protected] You may need to check those addresses as I am not absolutely sure I have got them correct, but they are close.
