Doesn't matter grindle they look lovely, I think it's only the width of the photos which get adjusted to fit the page & if you use 'portrait' format as yours are they come out that size, we can see the detail in the flowers well like that. Lots of pretty geums, some of mine are out now but although I've got different varieties most of them seem to be orange at the moment.

yes Fractal it really enjoys where it is and is slowly spreading I think you gave me 3 pieces and I put them in 3 different places but that is the biggest clump, you also gave me some seeds of Acacia dealbata a few years back, one has made a very nice tree, beautiful bark pattern, flowers every year and has come through the winter unscathed

It wouldn't be May without Alliums! They are probably my favourite flower at this time of year (and I bet they'll feature strongly in all the designer gardens at Chelsea? ) I love everything about them...shape, colour, texture....and the bees love them too. Just wish they'd last a bit longer, but the seed heads are gorgeous as well

I love them too Granny Goose & grindle but none of mine seem to be out yet. Took some photos yesterday as quite a few plants have woken up in the sunshine. First roses:- For Your Eyes Only Rhapsody In Blue Lots of geums, Mai Tai, Banana Daquiri, Cooky, Blazing Sunset Massive clump of blue geraniums, not sure which Lemon & white aquilega
