Yes it is planted in the ground SueA. It's planted next to a fence so maybe it likes the shelter it gets there. It's on the north side of the fence so the ground never really dries out. It is about 7 feet tall. It was in my parents' garden and I brought it here after they died.
Thank you grindle ….

Your photos make me a bit ashamed of my garden, Eli although it's recovering a bit after a week of cool and rain. Things in pots are generally the best bit right now. A 'rescue' from the sale at the country store. Love this colour. Osteospermun Astra 'Orange Sunrise' 'Vanilla Ice' a nice understated little sunflower... But these have got a bit out of hand up above the garage from a mixed packet of yellow/reds etc. I had no idea they'd get that big, they didn't last year... Zinnia Some nice bright colours in my various Semps right now Fuchsia 'Moody Blues' - my fave, but always later than most it seems.

All our gardens have suffered from the intense heat Bess. You have some nice plants there … The Phlox and Hibiscus are about the only things flowering with me. The other things I showed are in pots.

Giant White Trailing BegoniasThese are lovely, pleased with them, and they have certainly caught the eye of passers by. I'd no idea they would turn out so nice. Thread.
