I am wondering what is the height of your bench that you have for your potted plants. I have just pulled down a very old wooden step frame that I made too many years ago. This time its a standard wire top bench. This will vary depending on your height.
I am considering about 65cm.
What is the height of your bench/s.

Only benches for plants I have got are staging in g'house which are about the height of my midriff 3' sorry, I don't do metric. If you were a midget I suppose 18" would be fine.

Brilliant thanks for that Sweetpea, does anyone know how you can estimate 18 inch if you can’t reach the tape measure in the cupboard?

I use shelving I bought for a shed. It's about 3 feet high I suppose. I will try to take a photo of it later on to show you.

I suppose for the vertically challenged among us you could always stand on a box or even a pile of library books. The list is limited only by your imagination.

I found my back tired from pricking out all those seedlings so I chopped a few inches fo all my, home made ,staging legs so I could sit and pot. now the height is 2 foot 6 inches with a 1/2 inch planks on top .
