I really love those Cherry, planted some a couple of years ago but they never did anything, I might have to try again next year I have more in pots and elsewhere, but these ones look best. I have tried them from seed too, but these were not successful, yet they come up from seed outside.

I was wondering if it would be better to start them in pots first then plant them out

They are pretty Cherry, do the like the same conditions as F meleagris? I'd like to plant them in the orchard.
Is that an indoor variety or a hybrid Steve n? I have some seeds to sow this year (wild ones) they are good for the bees.

I was wondering if it would be better to start them in pots first then plant them out I have done both Grindle and both are successful. I once planted Frittilaria meleagris with no success, so I have been put off them. This was years ago in Oxfordshire, so I thought they would take well as they were native to that area.

It sure does SteveN. It is almost as big as the Chatham Island forget-me-not, but the centres would be slightly darker. It is 1st April after all.

I have got Queensland somewhere. Must have a look. Sue that Frittilaria is gorgeous and so is the colour of the Pulmonaria. What a lovely batch of pics.
