When Louise and I were searching the whole showground for Steve - he kept texting that he was 'in the beer tent'. He had loads of drinking time before we actually found him!

This is what I bought - Two Nemesia maritana 'Blue Button' - supposedly hardy. Two pink Diascias - should be hardy, I have others that are. A Silene uniflora 'Rosea' Three geraniums (of course!) - this one is called 'Memories', because my plant isn't doing well, and another one that I already have - 'Salome' - but I also found one that's new to me - G. x oxonianum 'Southcombe Double' Useful stuff, too - packets of seed labels with a pen in each and a ball of twine.

Notice I am not drinking Tel! WF was though! then she wanted to know where the darts dominoes and skittles were! You do love to live life dangerously, this was not the only show and I could well have Cherry and Rosie for back up at the next one. You are so going to regret that comment

Thanks, Cherry. I planted them this afternoon, and they've 'finished' the small border off nicely.

Thanks, Lou. It was quite difficult to choose - they had a lot of different colours. I'm pleased with the blue, though.

When Louise and I were searching the whole showground for Steve - he kept texting that he was 'in the beer tent'. He had loads of drinking time before we actually found him! It made it better that there were 4 beer tents at Malvern...but they still found me ;D

I looked up all the ferns I bought to double check they were all completely hardy, all are. They were all sold as plants for dry shade but both their labels and the internet say moist soil. I'm hoping they prefer moist soil but will tolerate dry soil.
Athyrium filix-femina – moist soil
Dryopteris affinis crispa – Moist soil
Dryopteris Grandiceps Askew – Moist soil
Asplenium scolopendrium, Ramo margiatum – moist soil
Asplenium scolopendrium, Cristatum – moist soil
Asplenium scolopendrium, Muricatum – moist soil
I could keep watering the area they are destined for but I think I'd be fighting a loosing battle.

Well WF, you've guaranteed everyone a dry summer now that you've bought all those ;D Some lovely plants you've all brought back. Good luck with that Wastonia Grindle, I bought one from the Tatton show last year but it is no more ;D That Nemesia 'Blue button' is nice
