got a hurricane blowing where you are. Just watched the wind lift a tray of mixed cabbage, cauli and lettuce seedlings into the air, do a loop the loop, and plonk em all upside down on the grass Ah well, at least we had a sprinkling of rain last night.

I did hear that Scotland was going to get 80 mile an hour winds. Down in Devon it is windy enough to blow a few empty plant pots around, so nothing exceptional.

The trees on the back are getting blown about abit, we get very strong winds here i expect lots of my pots to be on the floor half empty again later.

I don't know if its that strong here but the area i live in is called wind hill so its about as bad as it get around here, the rest of the town dips so is sheltered. It doesn't help that there is a large open area behind us and all the gardens are open too so its just a wind channel here, the front is fairly calm.

My garden has a 'natural' wind tunnel down the path in front of the house - the containers there take the full force, and some of the plants really don't like it at all! Yes, 'that' wind is back, and it'll be an uncomfortable gardening afternoon again.

Winds 45mph and it as' black as your hat' facing north so someones getting it.
