Well have used about 50bags of Manor compost and I have to say my dahlias are the worst they have ever been really disapointed in there growth hope they make a decent tuber as I planted them ib pots into the ground will just have to give them plenty of feed

Well an eventful week in London managed to break the key card on the car 25 mile trip to north London for a new one early start tomorrow pick Raymond up then off to the Kent plant sale not that I'm going to buy any lol am about ready for the long trip home on Sunday grand kids are fine but they do nothing but squabble from when they get up till they go to bed I am ready for a rest

It's growing wild on the paths at our allotment but I don't know how to lift it if anyone has any ideas I will get some

I used durstons compost last year 3for a tenner but bought manor farm at 2quid a sack it's been fine for me but have to say I spray my plants with miracle grow lol

Raymond I divided tubers I have had a lot rot in the pots proberlly too much water lost a lot of cutting as well but have had good rate of cuttings using plastering sand will make up any thing I'm short of at endangered plant sale bishop plant sale and hopefully meet up with Raymond for the Kent sale

Seems to have have madesomeimprovement putting the cuttings over the heat I could feel the heat in the pots and cuttings a little perkier

Thanks every one its all good info best of it is I took some hill rest Jersie watered the sand and shoved them in a heated propigator and just left them very ocainaly putting a little water in the base of the proper gator rooted in just over 2weeks but have spoke to a dahlia grower from Doncaster he told me to put my cuttings above the heater and turn the greenhouse heater up to70 as as cuttings need a higher temp than the tubers

Really hacked of have had 2 trays of cuttings damp off don,t quite know if it's because I am heating the whole reenhouse I'm using John nines potting compost and the other tray was sand I only spray when the sand compost goes dry I have moved another 2trays of cuttings above the heater temp is 60 degrees constant I will just persevere I'm taking cutting off tubers but leavening 4/5 cuttings on the tuber if nothing else I can split the tubers lol. I have a 40by30 heat tray I might connect that to the electric next year

[fontsize="6"][/font]was at the garden centre today they had an offer on compost by manor farm looks good stuff 4.25 a 60 litres sack he is selling it a2.00 a sack I bought25 and am going for another 25 tomorrow I use a fair bit as I pot all my tubers and cuttings in5inch pots then plant the pot in the garden then when I lift them the end of the year I put the compost into a bag and put some tatie sin so I have some decent spuds very early
