It can and does propagate rapidly in warm sunny weather. Today took pump out to clean it and guess what.........it fell into the pond Couldn't locate it so ended up having to strip down to 'Bare essentials' and get in as pump needs to be running. at least the water was reasonably warm. Took me ages to locate it as it had rolled into deepest part and my arms are only so long but got it sorted in the end' Only caught big toe on the concrete edge while getting out so claret everywhere and a sore toe. Sorry no pics You wouldn't want to see me in skivvies and covered in pondweed, might induce a heart attack!

Decided to trim the hedges and shrubs by path but naturally the hedge trimmer decided to go on strike. Normally its very good. Ended up using the hand shears which was hard graft for me. Used the lawnmower to 'Hoover' upmuch of the pine needles from the large conifer and trim a few weeds at the same time. Just got to cut the actual grass now. Actually it is mainly clover rather than grass but it is green and gives the bees something do.

that's really annoying for you sweetpea I've seen them advertised, hope you have luck getting your refund Have got it all packed up ready for posting to address in Stoke on Trent. I will lose out no doubt as the postage will cost a few bob but rather that than the £24.95 it cost in the first place. Will keep you all posted on this.

Thanks sweetpea I had been looking at those and figured it was only the brush bit on offer . That's correct LB plus the 'Universal adaptor kit'

Some of you may have seen ads for this 'Indestructable Strimmer' I ordered one which arrived the other day. It is supposed to replace the cutting cord on your regular strimmer and also included is a 'Universal adapter' so it can attach to virtually any strimmer including my models. Unfortunately not the case so I have now requested refund which I will wait and see what happens. I did a bit of checking since and it seems they have had many many complaints of false advertising etc. etc. Difficulty in getting refunds and generally poor service. When I know how my claim goes I will let you know but from what I've seen you would be well advised to give this one a miss.
