I'm finding this premium Welsh ale rather agreeable!

I think most of the trees in the distance are Oaks. You can just make out a touch of russet amongst the green I think.

Its a beautiful view Steve I'm surprised to see the leaves on the large tree in the foreground have already fallen, they have only just started to come down around here. Same here Peony, this tree is a Common Ash and is always first to drop. Most of the tree round here are in full colour and mid way through their drop.

My Piaranthus has a lot of flowers this year! Talking of which Lou, did that Stapelia seed pod ever burst?

Not sure what the objects lying on the grass are in the foreground though? Hope they are not plastic trays from the garden centre!!!!

Took this today from the top field at work looking south west. I like this view very much :-)

Leucanthemum (Shasta Daisy) 'Old Court' producing another late flush of large shaggy daisies. Certainly brightened up the last day of October!

I've been hearing Tawny owls calling over the last few nights, at this time of year they are sorting out who has which territory. I always thought it was one bird which made the 'twit-twhoo' sound but they said on Autumnwatch that its two birds in quick succession I only found this a few years ago too (probably on Autumnwatch). I'll bet it's the female calling the male a twit too

I like Persekia too! I'm reliving my childhood fascination for these plants reading this. I have recently bought (not a member of Cactaceae) this lovely Aloe somaliensis. Please ignore the filthy window!

That Elephants foot is fab. Tried to grow it from seed when I was a lad but failed miserably. I don't think the seed was fresh, at least that what I blame!
