How things have come on! When I was a lad we used to BBQ on the beach....mostly beer! Once we were joined by a couple of 'rich kids' who played music on their record-player in their E type No 'cassette player then! Not much on the radio either. Do you remember trying to find Radio Luxembourg on your trannie? All those were my favourites too SP

Did you here about Dwayne Eddie this morning? No , What about him? My BiL is probably his biggest fan so I would ask him but he is abroad on holiday. Oh, and yes I also listened to Radio Luxemburg plus some other continental stations. One I think was called AFN or something like that. I just twirled the tuner until something I liked came on. ;D No radio in car then just the trannie which was put on the the dash while parked in a layby while me and ladyfriend were getting more aquainted. Funny how a transister radio could get the windows all steamed up. ;D

Are the ballon valves PX5s?
Did he make his own turntable?

I have no idea on valves (I call them light bulbs it annoys him ). He has rebuilt a turn table or 2 in the past onto slate decks but i bought him a JBE flower top turntable (not sure on the series) that he is not allowed to part with or dismantle.
