There is a few what I call nice Collarettes, my own personal opinion it comes down to 2 for the best of them. imagprint screen windows[/quote] After discussing with Brenda, that I think the latter Collarette is the best of the Collarette seedlings this season. Brenda agrees with me, we should name it Birkenshaw Ian Naylor, after her son who died this year.

What a nice thing to do. This dahlia is going to 'go places'. It all 'feels' right when all things are considered, i.e. the name, the colour, the popularity of this type of dahlia at present, even the fact that it is your turn now Tel. The best of luck with Dahlia 'Birkenshaw Ian Naylor'.

Tel ian what you think of this second year seedling from John Carter kilncroft Becka. I like this one very very much I prefer it to Claire de lune colour a soft creamy lemon picture taken this morning after rain last night I have two plants of it . He is not sure if enough petal overlay it has improved from last year. Lovely long stem and strong and bloom angle lovely as well .

Except for the slight gap between the two petals at 8-9 oclock its nice and seems to stand the rain. Would like to see another one though.

Tel when 'Ian Naylor' is available to purchase Che would like one he really is taken by it and when I explained the history behind it just now he said: "an extra nice one for my collection made even better because it was grown with thoughts of 'her' (Brenda) son so he will not be forgotten"

Che will be number 1, for a cutting from it.
