Tel, I have the lily “unknown”, it is a lovely, happy colour, I’m pleased you named it for me, I shall write a label out for mine tomorrow. Lovely, lovely photos so far, I much prefer to see flowers in gardens than perfect close up photographs.

I bought it when visiting my daughter in Norfolk, it was on a table outside someone's bungalow, priced at 50p There was no-one around to ask the name just an 'honesty' tin to put my money in I'm hoping someone can identify it. Its perennial and grows happily in part shade.

It looks like it could be a salvia, do the bees love it?

I can tell you what it is - it's Stachys monieri 'Pinkie'. How do I know? Because I have one in my garden. Not a clump like Peony's, but definitely the same plant. What lovely photos Peony!

Here are some photos. from my garden. Hemerocallis 'Catherine Woodley' Senecio polyodon Geranium 'Stormchaser' ambling through Diascia 'Ruby Fields' A mingle in the front garden - I love Origanum 'Kent Belle'. It's with Erigeron Karvinskianus, Lavandula stoechas, Geranium 'Jolly Bee' and a blue Nemesia. Triteleia 'Queen Fabiola' in the corner bed. Flowers in the top border. And a flower I haven't grown before - Triteleia hyacinthoides.
