Hi Millman...
I was desperate for a kitten after our old cat, Mabel, died...and so OH took me to see 'the cat-lady' in Loughborough, and we fell head over heels for this tiny and very nervous little cat. We were umming and aaahing over a name when a colleague rang me to ask if she could visit the new kitten...the colleague was called...Priya...apparently her name translates as 'Beloved' or 'Loved one' or 'beautiful loved one' in the Indian dialect spoken by my friend's family, she was delighted whenn I asked if we could name our new pussycat after her. It really suits her too.

That is just daft half hour Grindle. Normal. I am a bit worried that Jess and Jack are going to turn into postie barkers. It drives us mad when my two do this and Sammy gets so excited, nothing stops him.

Henry loves our postmen - he hears the van arriving, and barks to be let out to greet them - he gets a biscuit from them! The paperman - ah - he's scared of Henry and if H. is in the garden, the paper gets left at the gate!

A big day today, we went into town, with all the traffic and people, round the pannier market, he was so well behaved, just at the last bit on our way back to the car, he worried about the crossing, so I had to carry him over. I think it was because we were walking towards the oncoming traffic, once we had crossed he was fine. But all in all for a first big day, he was a llittle star

Small dogs always have the big dog attitude. My boy loves dogs around his size or slightly bigger (up-to JRT size) but he hates big dogs and trays to pick fights with the wrong kinds, pit bulls, rotties, staffys etc etc .

At last my feral cats are earning their keep. They have been sitting in the sun for most of the day, but when I went in to feed them, I found I didn't have to put any out. I did see Aquila catching mice in the field.
Atticus came running over to the dogs and smooched against them. He is obviously used to dogs from his last digs. He came up to the house a while ago and meowed outside to come in. I will not weaken.
