I have an Astrophytum and Lophophora but they are very small - not long purchased. There are lots with strange names Those two are very slow growing and the flowers are very short lived but very pretty in their simplicity. We are trying to track down a Dioscorea elephantipes, our local GS is trying

Ah, the elephants foot a real beauty, nice pics and nice plants too WF To get the words in your reply Hywel you click on 'quote' And it's not the unusual names that I like so much as unusual plants, but i did have mainstream Mammillarias, Opuntias and still do have a few Rebutias

I don't know how to get those words in boxes so I'll have to answer without them and hope you understand. Rosie - I put them in a cold frame for the summer, and in the house for the winter Steve - I have an Astrophytum and Lophophora but they are very small - not long purchased. There are lots with strange names Hywel, just click on QUOTE then if you wish you can then highlight what you wish to quote and change the colour or just leave it and it ill come out in a box like this.

Yes please Rosie.
We managed to find one in Europe but the P&P was £16. I've been tempted to grow one from seed but cacti take so long to grow.
