And plant Cordylines costing 250 quid each when they have proved a real winter snuffs em out! He not only said they were hardy but by saying to brush the snow off he insinuated they were really bone hardy. I would have jumped into the pool for sure, but I don't need pictures on fences.

I thought it was quite entertaining for half an hour, it did seem to be an updated 'Ground Force' & aimed at new gardeners but there's nothing wrong with that. I think they said the canvases were 'weather-proof' & they would get a bit of shelter from the canopy over the hot tub, no way would I sit in a hot tub in the garden though, they would be overlooked from all directions & sitting in a warm soup of other people's body bits doesn't appeal to me! ;D I did think about the cordylines not being hardy as well, several the size of those have died over the last 2 winters in our neighbourhood & I'm not sure if the West Midlands are any warmer, although being more inland maybe they would get some shelter?

My sister bought 2 mature cordylines about 5yrs ago.She has an exposed garden in North Norfolk and they have survived the last few hard winters - luck of the draw I suppose
