I have always managed to get cutting like Fuchsia and Streptocarpus leaves to root in a glass of water....untill we came to live here. I have tried all kinds and not one cutting is putting roots into the water. We have a private water supply but it's got so many filters to clean it and the drinking water is RO.
Any suggestions what i can do to start them rooting?

Maybe the water is too pure? RO takes out everything/minerals chemicals etc. I don't know... maybe add abit of rooting powder to the water?? Could you try rain water??

Graham suggested rain water too Floydie, we have enough of the stuff to have a go ;D RO water is just 'wet', there is nothing at all in it.
