I meant to post this ages ago but i forgot Grahams 'new' baby for the winter. It's a 1960 swb truck cab land rover. This is what we wanted last year but couldn't get one for love nor money, so we did it early this year ;D The back isn't faded , it's rain on the camera lense ;D ;D

That looks like loads of fun. My brother has one, it is not comfortable, quiet or warm but it is fun. You can do proper off roading in one of those ;D

We got these and the LWB type as well when our Austin champs were replaced. I much preferred the champs.

Just the ticket Rosie, sadly it looks like you'll need it as I think it was you who said that due to the 'slip stream' we're in for another proper winter! I know they're difficult to find and hold their price. No need to worry about it rusting or scratching your 'alloys' A good investment but you'll need to invest in a 'Sports bra' now !

Why do I keep getting the feeling the bad weather has been used as an excuse to buy another 'big boys toy'

Sadly the MG had to be sold when the bungalow needed a new roof, and the Riley went when it was finished to pay for the central heating We haven't got the room to keep an old car now, but when he retired he did have a motorbike for a few years! The MG didn't have a heater Rosie, but I did have a very warm sheepskin coat ;D

I could see him and his daft army friend driving one of these over the backs and getting it stuck some were .
