Thank you very much for all these nice messages. But how did you all know it was my birthday.I only mentioned it at 10.00pm last night.I may not have seen the messages but Tel told me about them and Sue A mentioned it on Dereks diary so thank you very much. Also where did you get those nice pictures from and how did you put them on the forum? Yes we did have an enjoyable day.Rosemary is a member of a group for retired Unison members and they have coach trips twice a year and this one to Blackpool coincided with my birthday .It was a bit too windy to walk much along the front so we looked round the shops a bit till 12.30 when we had a buffet meal booked in the ballroom. We did three dances after then went to the top of the tower .Part way up we had to go in a 3D cinema and shown pictures of Blackpool which made us think we were on the sands or on the big dipper.Seagulls were flying round our heads and a spray wet us just as though we were near the sea.We had to have 3D glasses on to see all this. We were then taken to the top and yes Sue we did stand on the glass platform. It was a very enjoyable day.Another celebration we have had recently was last Saturday when Martyn, our son was 50.Heather,our daughter from Wales came .She came to Tottington show with us then Martyn took us all for a meal in an Indian restaurant in Walkden, which was very nice.
