Thank you all so much for your good wishes and yes I did have a great time. Only got home 4pm today after 3 days in Hywel's Country...just a bit North of him at out favourite place Penmaenpool. Tel you'll be glad to know that the recently award winning 'Dark side of the moose' was on form and I imbibed sufficient quantity as you're only 70 once. On Saturday and Sunday we got seriously high (from sea level) see pic, but this morning we walked the Mawddach Trail trail ( AKA Julia Bradbury) from Dolgellau to Barmouth the full length as far as you can see, amazing scenery. We were extreeeeeemly lucky with the weather as though it threatened it never rained 'till on the way home.

Lovely scenery and great beer Merlin. Now that is what i call a birthday. ;D Absolutely Tel, but I have to say the company wasn't bad either ......well I'd be in trouble if I didn't say ;D I opened my pressies while there, a fab book on how to use an SLR and a day (of my choice) learning at first hand how they use birds of prey at the Cheshire Falconry.

What a lovely way to spend a birthday Merlin. If Julia had accompanied you, you would have thought it better than perfect.
