Bought two, six packs of crysants today for 40p per 6 pack, your money today, they are bedding plants and I suppose the frost will kill them. I cleaned them up pulling of all dead leaves and shoots and potted them singly into 4'' pots. Do I need to over winter them in a heated greenhouse.

Are they the ANNUAL Chrysanths AJ? Perennial plants will generally be OK but will die back as herbaceous plants do, Some chrysanths flower over winter so it rather depends on what kind they are. Someone else may know a bit more.

Does it not say anything on the label AJ. I'm surprised you can buy "bedding" chrysanths at this time of year?. To be on the safe side I would do as you suggested...keep them frost free over the winter..and see what happens in the Spring ;D

I was amazed to see them particularly at this time of year, the carrying handle just said dwarf crysants. I'm pretty sure they are annuals

Put them out of the way somewhere AJ and if they are still alive in the spring, treat them well and bring them on.
