Thanks for advice Floydie, it's come up very well but I'll shine the platter as you suggest. Not sure about advertising it so near Christmas, what do you think? I think I'll take all the 200+ records to the PDSA. Strange really as many years ago the PDSA was a record shop where I bought some of them. Have a sort through your lps first you never know you may have something worth selling on Ebay too . OH says the stylus looks like a OMB10 or 5.

Did you get, 'How much is that doggie in the window' there? ;D ;D I'm too young to remember Alma Cogan You just reminded me merlin, I had the privelege of driving her about in Malta when she came over to do a CSE show for the troops. Lovely lady as I recall and more dresses than I've had hot dinners.

Yes I did actually and in an open top Austin Champ. She always sat in the front with me, no airs or graces. Was 1960 or possibly '61 can't remember who else was in the concert party but she was the star of the show. Just wish I had a photo.

Back in those good old days, songs were happy, not the 'happy' songs of today. 20 tiny fingers, 20 tiny toes and all that, I can still rember the words Yes I liked frocks that used to stick out at the bottom.

Did your chewing gum lose its flavour on the bed post overnight?

Oh, it does. I can never make out some of the words - I really must google it and see what he's singing.
It's this bit, having googled:
And if you want to ride You gotta ride it Like you find it
etc.
