Thank you both - I'm just pin balling around the house at the moment - not knowing what I should be doing.

I'm sure you are - it's a very unsettling time. Try to be kind to yourself.

Sorry to hear that Piskie. I can't say anything that will make you feel better now, but one day you will wake up and feel happy when you think of her rather than sad.

Sorry Piskie. Be thankful it was mercifully quick. People deal with this in different ways. Talk to us as often as you wish. It may help.

So sorry Piskie my thoughts are with you.
The Rose Beyone the wall
A rose once grew where all could see sheltered beside a garden wall .
And,as the days passed swiftly by,it spread its branches straight and tall.
One day a beam of light shone through a crevice that had opened wide .
The rose bent gently toward its warmth then passed beyond to the othe side.
I lost my Mum and dad 4yrs ago an dgot thsi poem it means a lot to me and hope it does to you.
Pm me any time.

I`m so sorry to hear that Pixie. I`ll keep you in my thoughts and prayers. My mum died three years ,I still miss her. I keep a picture of her in the kitchen and have a wee "chat " with her when I`m in there cooking ,I find it helps.

This one gave me some comfort when me dear old dad passed Do not stand at my grave and weep. I am not there. I do not sleep. I am a thousand winds that blow; I am the diamond glints on snow. I am the sunlight on ripened grain; I am the gentle Autumn’s rain. When you awaken in the morning’s hush. I am the swift uplifting rush Of quiet birds in circled flight. I am the soft star that shines at night. Do not stand at my grave and cry. I am not there; I did not die. So sorry Piskie my thoughts are with you. Both of them are lovely My Mum and Dad died 8 years ago but tears still come to my eyes if I hear Amazing Grace,The Day Thou Gavest orThe Old Rugged Cross Our Dad used to do his party piece at family get togethers - he always sang Delilah( TomJones ) Thinking of that makes me smile and cry
