Poor Hywel, i hope your feeling ok now. The bobbies should have apologised to you. My nephew is a bobby and was in the Met for a few years.
I would not want to do their job, it's a tough one at the best of times.

£100, they must have caused you a lot of problems not to mention the stress. Lloyds paid me £50 a few years ago. We'd gone out to eat and I'd paid with my card, the manager told me my card had been refused, luckily I had another one for emergencies. I knew I had money in my bank so we went to the nearest cash machine to check my balance. I was £35,000 over drawn They apologised the next day and said it was their mistake. Thank goodness I had my emergency card, imagine the amount of washing up I would have had to have done ;D

I had some trouble last week with ATMs not taking my card but I think it was because the town had suffered a power cut.

goes like this i go online to open a 'on line saving' fixed ' 5 year bond'....only to be advised i would have to wait 5 days to check my credibility..Eh thats funny as i have my mortgage, house insurance, 2 cash isa's an online saver, a current acount, a joint account a joint saving account you keeping up.. When i rang to 'chase' the fixed rate bond ,they side track me into opening a special credit card, that was done straight away..so why the run around with the new bond.....told thats the way it issssssssssssss. Kept chasing, still hearing thats the way it is... Then after 5 days when i still hadn't managed to secure the on line fixed rate bond..they tell me i got 2 identities, applying fo rthe new fixed rate bond had created me another data base ..and their computer has eraised some of details in the process....meanwhile i was losing interest on the funds that were held in my current account that i couldn't tranfer into the new bond..(on line) so held it in the lower on line saver account ,losing interest..took a week to sort out and the £100 was paid over in 3 stages..basically every time i moaned at them..£30,£20 then £50...i call them H.A.L.i.F.C.u.K.s ...
