My friend brought me a cutting from a plant, she has been admiring, that was growing wild. she thought it was a Daphne as it has no leaves. The thin stems look more like a broom ? I was delighted to find that the pink unopened "flowers" were harbouring ripe seed that I have collected today. Any idea what it is ? Just wondering if it`s worth sowing the seed or is it a weed !!! oops nearly forgot the picture ! the seed was in the red pods.

I think it is a Euonymus or spindle. The leaves turn a beautiful autumn colour before falling.

Thanks Cherry and Derek, my friend thought these were the flowers. I`ll have a go at germinating the seeds so she can have a plant of her own. Apparently it makes a nice hedge and it can be pruned a sunder .
