All planted now. The ones planted last week seem to be growing away well. Got 20 plants of White Frills, Sir Jimmy Shand, Zillah Harrod, and Millenium. 18 plants of Gordon Priestley......not tried this one before but was sent as a replacement because Eclipse was out of stock, and 8 of my seedling in the main beds.
In containers i have 17 Eclipse, from seeds left over from last year, and 7 of my seedling.
From that lot i hope to get 7 blooms of each for individual classes( white, red, lavender/mauve, fancy and pink, which hopefully the seedling will be, and mixed.
If very lucky on the day i may be able to do the 3 vases of 7 class.

Five weeks from planting out, time to have a look at them and select the leaders to grow on, and clear the weeds. Once i'd got round i was pleasantly surprised as to how good they were looking. All plants were showing good growth, except one which i snapped off tieing up Most about 9" in height and quite sturdy. Much better than last year when they were all over the place. I had quite a few dodgy looking plants left over after planting, so i re-potted them just to see if they would come to anything. Amazingly enough they have produced some nice plants. I say amazingly because they have been growing in the same compost for 5 months and the compost, Humax original, has had only one supplementary feed early March. Will certainly experiment further with it next year Reckon they are a few weeks behind from last year, so hopefully middle of June for the first blooms.
