We are trying to find out the history of this house, it's an old building and was actually a smithy that was attached to the farm at the top of the road. I love it when you know the history of old houses So do i Rosie

soooo glad you put this on ron.......... its breathtaking garden and idyllic cottage , in a lovely part of cheshire !!! its just as i remember seeing it , and carnt wait to see it again . thanks for showing

Ron, I stand in awe of what you have gone through and what you have achieved. Excellent stuff. I wish I could match that but not yet I'm afraid. I think the trauma of moving house is bad enough without having it burned as well. We are still having upheavals at home . New boiler fitted last week, this week the new kitchen is being fitted. . our place is over 300 years old in parts and has caused some problems for the fitters but hopefully it will be sorted soon.

arhhh ron are you forgetting there are no straight lines in old houses lol ..........every thing by eye is normally best !!! . off the shelf doent allways fit , so a lot of juggerling .

I love it when you know the history of old houses We don't know the full history of ours but apparently it was originally two old cottages from 1700 something and knocked into one then some more added. Our neighbour reckons her house is haunted and we apparently have a ghostly cat which wanders around the house. At least there is no ghostly mice around.
