Its the time of year that gardening catalogues are flooding through our letter boxes. Many companies have on line catalogues now do you prefer them?.... Which are your favourites? Although my new catalogue from Chiltern Seeds hasn't arrived yet; I really enjoy browsing through it. On- line is ok when you are searching for something in particular, but I like having a paper copy

Yes, I agree. I do like having a browse online, but a paper copy is easier and doesn't crash! I can scribble on it too.

I prefere browsing the pictures in catalogues, usually T&M and Mr. Fothergills but buy a lot from Wallis seeds , they don`t have pics but are cheaper. ( I sometimes cut the pics out if I`m sharing or saving seeds, to stick on the envelope).

I like the seedaholic site They don`t have a hugh selection of seeds but are quite cheap. Their catalogue is only online and the info on each plant is exceptional. Worth a look www.seedaholic.com/

I buy most of my seeds from the Real seed company www.realseeds.co.uk/ they grow the produce and give you some idea of what it tastes like. I only order online but you can get a paper catalogue. they also give detailed info on saving the seeds so you don't have to buy next year

Some catalogues are small and the print too. I've been enjoying browsing through the de jager Spring catalogue. It's A4 and a pleasure to look at.

I've been doing the same with the Bloms' catalogue, which has a great selection of plants with good descriptions and photographs. Their nursery is not too far from me in Bedfordshire and they celebrated their 150th anniversary last year.
