This excellent tip came from Derek.
The Zinnias are in drinking cups with their bases cut out and stood upside down on trays of compost. I just put one seed in each cup .The idea is to stop root disturbance when planting out.The cup is just lifted up over the plant.
I think a few of us will be using this tip next year. I have Zinnias growing, but I have lost a few of the dwarf seedlings.

I just want to say something else about this method of sowing zinnias.because some of you want to try it yourselves .The inverted cups are stood on trays of compost but the trays don,t need to be full.About an inch of compost is enough to stand them on.Please look at the picture I have put on "Dereks diary"
