Thanks guys. I will now have to keep an eye and ear out for more surplus stones as hubby told me he needs more for the checkerboard lawn. I'm the "scavenger" I'm always on the lookout for excess gravel, stones and things and when he's had it with my hoarding he goes off and tries to use the stuff. He's the official landscaper Rosie, every time I buy a plant that would need to be planted in the ground I have to ask where we can put it first and I also have to be ready with info about possible width and height at maturity and such. At least he doesn't mess with my veggie garden. Haven't had success breeding monster veggies yet though ;D

We don't take lodgers Tel but as the house is always vacant we do need a house sitter. Kids aren't grown up yet so we don't need the house for some time (it's down in the city near good universities so we decided to keep it after we got the farm).

No good to you WF. Jrae's husband would need to know the measurements of your plants. ;D

Sometimes I just say it's a dwarf type even if it's not so I can squeeze it in. ;D Anyway the plants don't always grow as big as they're supposed to be if it's crowded in with others and I get away with it.
