See if it looks like Primula 'Barbara Clough' which Lou put on Page 4 of March Flowers & Foliage. I think it is lovely and the leaves are very different to most primulas.

Thank you Cherry, I've just had a look at Lou's primula and mine is the same. It hadn't occurred to me that it might be a primula because the leaves are so different

You need SteveN to look in Esther. Pretty leaves which look thick to me with depressed veins.

Is it inside or outside esther? It looks like a Peperomia I used to have I must say.
The only other plant (thats hardy) I can think of with leaves this shape held in fours is Cornus canadensis.

It is a bit like my Cornus canadensis. However, my plant is established and the leaves look old looking just now.
Which did you decide on? Cornus or Peperomia?

That is a lovely primula, not the usual primula leaf.
