When do you prune yours back? it's taking over it's spot and needs a good trim ;D

That ribes is definitely a straggly shrub - I'm not at all sure about it.

Pruning the cirrhosas? After they've flowered. I'm going to have to deal with 'Freckles' which has outgrown its space, and poor 'Wisley Cream' which doesn't look too good after the severe weather.

I'm really chuffed - last year I planted a new plant (to me) Ypsilandra thibetica . It's evergreen, and it likes a partly shaded position. Today I found three flowers on it! ;D ;D

Next to this plant is a group of Pulmonaria 'Donald Ward' which are doing really well.
