Help - they have gone very very leggy in the greenhouse, should I plant them out and hope for the best, trim them down to encourage side shoots if they will or compost them. Any advice would be good.

Plant them as deeply as you can Lillieb. I think we have all been guilty of this at some time in our lives.

I agree with Cherry.....get 'em in the ground.....they are tougher than you think

As Lou and Cherry said, they can still be planted out I usually cut off the other leaves until only about 4 or 6 remains at the very top of the plant and then bury the entire leggy stem in the ground, most of them grow more roots that way
