Thank you. :)I saw a very similar one in a friend's garden, in a sunny position. It had clumped up really well! Mine isn't in full sun, but does get sun most of the day...so I hope it likes it there. I stopped off at the GC half-way up the motorway yesterday and bought a lovely dark maroon Dahlia and two tiny 'Goldcrest' conifers for my gate trough. I didn't like it looking so 'flat'. I picked up two little Asters, as well. I can't resist them! I really don't like spaces with bare earth - hence the Dahlia to help fill the gap by the two new 'Rhapsody in Blue'roses. ;D

Went to the plant heritage sale yesterday and came away with Cicerbita Plumeri, Mukdenia Karasuba, Helenium Double Trouble, Gaillardia Sun Flare, Doodia Media, Persicaria Golden Arrow and a couple of Rudbeckia Goldsturm (for some reason I lost the ones I had)

I also had to add to my 'Goldsturms' this autumn - there weren't as many as in prevous years, and the group looked a bit sparse. I wonder why that is? I thought they spread, rather than vanishing.

so did I, I thought it might have been the fact that Dylan ran riot last year, but if yours are disappearing as well, that is strange.

I had a similar problem with mine last year, not many flowers, so I dug them out, dug in some chicken manure and blood, fish and bone and replanted the best bits and this year they look rejuventated have flowered well again
