Thanks, Peony - I'll take a look and see if there are any small plants I can rescue and feed.

so did I, I thought it might have been the fact that Dylan ran riot last year, but if yours are disappearing as well, that is strange. I had a similar problem with mine last year, not many flowers, so I dug them out, dug in some chicken manure and blood, fish and bone and replanted the best bits and this year they look rejuventated have flowered well again thanks for the info Peony, I'll make sure these new ones go in good soil

I'd seen a photo of a new Caryopteris in the AG magazine, and I found one at the GC! Caryopteris x clandonensis 'White Surprise'. Last week when I bought my Dahlia, they were £4.99 (on special offer from £7.99), and to my surprise, they'd reduced the price of all the Dahlias to £2! I managed to find a decent plant to match the previous one. ;D Dahlia 'Dalina Maxi'.

I really like them. When we first came here, there was one in the garden, and I hadn't come across it before! My sister told me what it was.

They are easy to propagate as well. a couple of months ago I accidentally snapped a stem and just stuck it in the border nearby. It appears to have thrived and there are flower buds on; will move it to a more suitable spot after flowering ;D

Did all three pots turn out to be the same colour, Tel? I rather like it - sort of orange-y gold.
