Lovely, the Libertia, not the wind ;D I had one of the gold leaf ones, but lost it in the hard winter, might have to try again I think

I have 'Libertia' and it's a reliable one - the gold one didn't survive more than a year - or was it two? 'Taupo something or other' is looking very sad. It won't get through another winter.

Esther, it would not be the common Lythrum I expect. I have that one growing on the bank into the Ten Foot Drain and it is lovely.

Hydrangea arborescens 'Annabelle'. I'll treat it the herbaceous perennial way by hard pruning to the ground each spring to get the huge flowers on thick stems rather than let it grow into a shrub with smaller flower heads.

Smashing photo again, SteveN! At the open garden yesterday, of course I homed in on the plant stall, and bought two Geraniums that I haven't got, and a Potentilla 'Ron McBeath'.

You did well there Peony. Some of those are very nice plants. I say, some, but they are all good. I just will not buy Delphiniums, yet mine reach 6 ft or more. S&s.

some lovely plants there Tel SteveN mum has this one and the blossoms are huge, I'm interested that you cut it right down to make the stems thicker, they are quite thin on hers and the blooms weigh them down,
