We've been having a terrific rolling thunder & lightning storm for over an hour now with wopping hailstones in the middle followed by pouring rain, satellite gone down & even the internet went down for a while! Hailstones on back garden path!  |

Actually, the rain did not last long, and was quite heavy when we had it, but nothing like Sue suffered.

We got the same thunder & lightning before SueA. Just learned that its not possible to grow dahlias for exhibition without covers  (ruined large poms) |

It was the same in Wellington where our builder was working. It's not all that far away from here, but our weather was very different. The rain stopped and we had a sunny afternoon.  This morning it's very windy and the clouds are rolling past quickly - there's drizzle in the air. |

Raining here this morning, forecast to move further east later. Forecast sunny spells for this afternoon, but coolish.

That is a great shot, you have taken there Geranium. A sunny start to the day here, but it has been very cold overnight for August, down to 3c any lower and i may have had to dig up the dahlias. |
