The small number of perennials weren't what I was looking for, and as for their bulb collection - well! Forget it. They had racks and racks of Cyclamen and Pansies etc, but not a lot else. Nothing at all to even tempt me! Sorry - I should have said that we're visiting our daughter (only for one night) as she was singing the lead in the Isleworth Baroque Opera. It was wonderful - we were very, very proud parents last night! ;D Unfortunately we had a horrendous journey down, 5 hours instead of the usual less than 3. :(We suspect it was families going home from half-term breaks in the West Country. Then there was a terrible accident on the M3 which held us up for at least an hour. I expect it was on the News - it was a really awful one.

Reading back, I notice that Geranium's complaint paid off so that is good news.
If you had seen me getting off the coach at Cambridge, you would not believe I had been doing yoga at Maggie Island on Tuesday, because I was hobbling. My knees were freezing and I am now convinced that the weather has a lot to do with aches and pains.
The dinner we had was great and I even saw my grandson who works in the mines in at Pilbara in Western Australia. The missing one came up from Mackay where he is working earlier in the week.

Grindle, I am feeling the cold very much. The sun is out today, but it is over northern Australia I think as I am cold. I have thick tights under trousers and I had to do a search for my vests. My daughters have shown me how to be tidy. New resolution.

I have resolutions like that Cherry, they usually last about a week! ;D You'll soon be back to walking the dogs wearing your pyjamas, thermals, jumper, wellies & overcoat to keep warm Cherry now that you're back to the lovely weather here! ;D

Hallo Cherry - I hope you're feeling a bit warmer now.
Our journey back was much easier. We were back home within 3 hours even though the people were out in force for the Bridgwater Carnival. It's supposed to be the biggest Carnival in the country, but I steer clear, I'm afraid.
Lovely to be home - but I had to light the log burner - the house felt cold.

You'll love having a log burner, Rosie. It's about the only good thing about winter! We only heard a very few fireworks here...Henry barked his head off, but I managed to keep him relatively calm. Usually he dashes around getting really agitated!
