lesley You must have been having a bad day. Possibly your mother’s great age has something to do with her ungracious behaviour. She brought you up to be an animal lover, good gardener and very talented flower arranger. However, these living things give thanks every day.

I don't know if I've caught a bit of that virus … yesterday I kept coughing and last night I felt very hot. I took Paracetamols.
Today I have no cough and I don't feel hot, but I do feel rather tired. I've slept a lot of the day.
I can't say I felt ill with it, just a bit under the weather. I hope tomorrow I won't sleep the day away, I want to do some gardening

Hope he can fix it grindle, that's what I'm worried about now - anything breaking down & trying to get an engineer out, our cooker is ancient & I'd been looking at new ones just before all this happened. |

My heating system isn't very good though as the pipes installed for the coal fire system are too thin for the gas conversion we had installed a few years ago I get leaks here and there and the boiler is in the loft, not a good idea as it too often leaks.

I hope you can get your cooker mended grindle,
my tv broke down earlier this week so I sent for another from Currys and they delivered it in two days. I don't watch much and thought I'd manage without one for a while but it seemed very strange without it.

I learned hoe to make an outdoor oven and other ways of cooking years ago when I was in the mob but never really had to use the experience in civvie St. Always handy to have a primus or similar for emergencies though.

He's pretty reliable and I know he will do everything he can, we have the hob and a microwave and the grill is working, so I'll have to use my imagination |
