Dylan can do that all on his own SueA usually with the recycle bag that has tins in. It is difficult, he doesn't like lead walking much, won't walk with anyone else but me, he likes to be a free spirit, and although the garden is big enough, it's not geared to ball chasing, not enough grass, I used to drive about 4 miles to the woods, but I don't think that's acceptable at the moment, we'll just have to hope that it's over soon

I have two favourite granddaughters and one has just had a baby. This is another great grandchild for me. I feel very honoured, because the baby’s name is Olivia Jennifer Logan. The middle name is after me and my grandmother was Olive. I should not have favourites and don’t among my own children, but these are the grandchildren I know best, although they are all in Australia.
To celebrate, I will pick my first French beans for dinner tonight and pair with an organic wine with ‘citrus and pears and notes of creamy almonds on the finish’. That’s a big promise.

Thank you grindle and Eli. I now have loads of photos of Baby Olivia and I wish now I could be in Australia with them.

Congratulations 'Great Granny' Cherry, that's a lovely name as well. Did the wine live up to it's promises?

Thanks SueA. The wine was nice. A bottle lasts me 4 days, so there is more to go. I am one of those people who are nervous about going out, but will be having my finger-prick blood test on Tuesday at the local doctor’s, so I am going to be brave and try and make it to Tesco. My walks are always taken in the country lanes which start opposite my house. Are all you older people going out now?

I've been going out all the way through it, looking after mum plus going with hubby shopping for the pair of us, i've only just met up with a couple of friends still keeping my distance, we certainly wont be going to any pubs or resturants for a very long time. Stay safe

I've been doing essential things all the time like going shopping. Delivery times are too long to wait. Bella will only eat the food I can get from Pets at Home and that is 7 miles away so the 5 mile limit imposed by the Welsh government had to be ignored !! I have also had to go and meet Beryl's niece to sort out the affairs but I've made sure I keep my distance from other people. I went out today too, I was going demented stuck in the house on my own, it's so empty and silent these days and drives me mad … and it was too wet to go down the garden. So I went to a small town nearby and bought a Dianthus in the garden section of a well known bargain shop I'm not a pub person so that doesn't bother me, and I'll be keeping off public transport for a long time.

not going out much here either Cherry most of my shopping is being done online, have made a couple of shopping trips early in the day to avoid too many people, now with the easing of lockdown and holiday makers arriving, I'll be back to staying home again. I'm not ready to start meeting too many people I don't know

Those replies were really interesting for me. It makes me think that it is a risk for all of us, but life is full of risks. My son’s partner, Natasha, being a vet, is confronting the public all the time and her hours are now extended to four days. She was working in bubbles (teams) before on 2 days a week only.

I'm still very wary of getting close to people as there have been 177 deaths in our local hospital, our neighbour has lost her cousin to the virus & there have been about 18 deaths locally - mostly in the 2 nearby care homes though. I've been shopping regularly in our 2 small supermarkets & don't wear a mask - I just overheat, I bought some cloth ones & had to wear one when I went to the doctors for a blood test the other week, that was weird - you had to sanitise your hands, press the intercom & say why you were there, go in & then wash your hands in the toilet & then stand on a random black line drawn on the floor & wait for your name to be called - about 5 of us ladies looked like we were playing 'statues'! I've been to the garden centre twice & the larger supermarket once but always sanitise my hands on the way in & out & when I get home & haven't met up with anyone at all other than my sis-n-law & her husband when they stopped by with a birthday card & stood 2 metres away by the door. O.H. has actually had a test, he was randomly invited to take part in a study by Imperial College to see how many people have the virus without symptoms & they sent a kit to self-test, he came back negative luckily.

I'm debating whether to go up and see my son, haven't seen them since before Christmas, if I do it will only be for an overnight stay

I can understand you worrying about going grindle but I suppose we'll all have to just get back to living life, just a little bit more carefully.

In a fortnight, I will be staying overnight with my son and his partner, who live in md-Norfolk. I do miss family. My older son and his wife will be coming from Scotland to stay in about a month for maybe two weeks,
