Talking about those poppets and stuff
what about those strips of coloured paper gummed one end that you licked and joined all the circles together to make your own Xmas garlands!
I can't remember those either ;D

I remember when they weren't gummed and we had to use a home made clag to stick them together. I used to love those when I was in the 'babies'.

I'm with Tel on this one, crepe paper strips which you used to sort of plait over each other & then pull out into a garland.

I remember them too, you can still buy them. I also remember having little blocks of coloured wax that you used to soften by the fire and make little leaves and flowers on bare twigs, and the cut out snowflakes from coloured paper ;D

I can't for the life of me remember where mum used to get the wax from, but it was great fun and kept me amused for hours. The snowflakes were fun too although I did get told off for dropping little bits of paper everywhere ;D
